چکیده

ACPsrt hs is a hybrid process algebra obtained by extending a combination of two existing extensions of Algebra of Communicating Processes (ACP), namely the process algebra with continuous relative timing and the process algebra with propositional signals, for the formal specification and analysis of hybrid systems. In addition to equational axioms, this hybrid process algebra has rules to derive equations with the help of real analysis. ACPsrt hs is also closely related to the theory of hybrid automata, so ACPsrt hs can be reasonable easily translated to hybrid automata. This enables automatic verification of ACPsrt hs specifications using existing hybrid automaton-based verification tools (e.g. PHAVer and HyTech). Since ACPsrt hs is a well-developed algebraic theory from the field of hybrid process algebras with the above-mentioned features, it seems to allow rigorous the formal specification and analysis of digital/analog/mixed-signal circuits. In order to explore this fact, in this paper, we study a mixed-signal circuit: a half wave rectifier in ACPsrt hs . Some basic properties of the half wave rectifier are analysed in a formal way and some correctness requirements are also proven to be satisfied.

Case Studies in The Hybrid Process Algebra Hypa

HyPA is an algebraic theory based on the classical process algebra Algebra of Communicating Processes (ACP) for the specification and analysis of hybrid systems. We have the idea that HyPA is also well suited for addressing various aspects of digital embedded systems including hardware, software and concurrency, as well as mixed-signal designs. To show that HyPA is useful for the specification ...

Modeling and Simulation of Substrate Noise in Mixed-Signal Circuits Applied to a Special VCO

The mixed-signal circuits with both analog and digital blocks on a single chip have wide applications in communication and RF circuits. Integrating these two blocks can cause serious problems especially in applications requiring fast digital circuits and high performance analog blocks. Fast switching in digital blocks generates a noise which can be introduced to analog circuits by the common su...

Fault Detection and Classification in Double-Circuit Transmission Line in Presence of TCSC Using Hybrid Intelligent Method

In this paper, an effective method for fault detection and classification in a double-circuit transmission line compensated with TCSC is proposed. The mutual coupling of parallel transmission lines and presence of TCSC affect the frequency content of the input signal of a distance relay and hence fault detection and fault classification face some challenges. One of the most effective methods fo...

Time Domain Verification of Oscillator Circuit Properties

The application of formal methods to analog and mixed signal circuits requires efficient methods for constructing abstractions of circuit behaviors. This paper concerns the verification of properties of oscillator circuits. Generic monitor automata are proposed to facilitate the application of hybrid system reachability computations to characterize time domain features of oscillatory behavior, ...
